G3TechNews Firefox Network Connection Tweaking Guide

Target Audience: Advanced Users.

This small guide is mean to help you tweak the firefox, when you use it to browse the Internet.

The Firefox has a built in function that can "PipeLine" the requests a web-client passes to the web-servers. By default this "tweaked" feature is turned off.

You can turn this ON to experience relatively faster speeds. This is not guaranteed as it can very from computer to computer (various factors apply).

Try experimenting with this to see if it has some effect on your computer.

Steps Involved in Connection Tweaking.

  1. Type about:config in the address bar
  2. Modify the following keys with given values (see fig below)
  3. Close and Restart Firefox .

The value given are suitable for general settings, you may alter and experiment to tweak the best for your system.
