Microsoft Prepairing next round of patches.

The next batch of patches is due Tuesday, Jan. 11. Patches with "critical" ratings are reserved for flaws that the company considers "wormable."

January 2005 Microsoft Security Response Center Bulletin:

As part of the monthly security bulletin release cycle, Microsoft provides advance notification to our customers on the number of security updates being released and the products affected. This is intended to help our customers plan for the deployment of these security updates more effectively.

On 11 January 2005 the Microsoft Security Response Center is planning to release:

- 3 Microsoft Security Bulletins affecting Microsoft Windows. The greatest maximum severity rating for these security updates is Critical. These security updates may require a restart.
