Linspire updates laptop-friendly Linux system
Contributed by: SHA, at 3/18/2005 06:56:00 PM.

Linspire has announced version 5.0 of its Linux operating system.
Like the latest batch of releases, 5.0 benefits from the 2.6 kernel, with improved hardware support, better wireless networking and power-saving technologies, making it ever more appropriate for laptops.
What Linspire sells itself on is ease of use. It offers voice-narrated how to tutorials and a unique graphical interface running on the KDE 3.3 desktop.
In addition, Linspire users get access to the CNR (Click and Run) stores - a repository of applications that are easy to download and install without having to look at a command line.
