Verso Technologies, Inc., an integrated communications solutions company, announced today that Worldcall Telecommunications Group (Worldcall) has selected Verso to set up a next generation VoIP network infrastructure leveraging its packet based solutions.

The initial order includes a Clarent BHG 2500 gateway and the Class 4 and Class 5 softswitch applications. Worldcall is one of the largest private telecommunications service providers in Pakistan. Worldcall has obtained a license to provide long distance international (LDI) and local loop telephony (LL) and has begun operations in three cities, which will expand to 14 over the next several months. In addition, Worldcall has obtained a code division multiple access (CDMA) operator's license and will launch wireless service within the next few weeks.
