Contributed by: G3nu1n3, at 4/10/2005 04:22:00 PM.

The three top executives at Internet search giant Google have agreed to be paid $1 a year in annual salary, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.

Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt and co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin all asked in the second quarter of 2004 that their annual salaries be cut to $1.

Before the cuts went into effect, Schmidt made $250,000 a year, while Page and Brin earned $150,000 each, according to the company’s annual proxy filing.

The three men are billionaires thanks to their ownership of Google stock.
