Highwall Technologies Unveils Mobile and Personal Wireless LAN Monitoring Suite
Contributed by: SHA, at 4/10/2005 12:26:00 PM.

Highwall Technologies, a leading provider of WLAN security and monitoring software and hardware, today announced the release of its mobile and personal product suite designed to extend the reach of its best-of-breed WLAN Detection and Intrusion Prevention system, Highwall Enterprise. The Highwall Mobile software provides network administrators with a tool for mobile detection and location of wireless devices. The Highwall Personal software extends wireless security functions to laptops that leave the office and reconnect on a home Wireless LAN. Without the proper security, the information located on those devices may be compromised if connected to unsecured home WLAN networks.
Highwall Mobile and Personal serve to complement the Highwall Enterprise solution, said Rich Swier, CEO of Highwall Technologies. We believe a handheld-based monitoring tool can add value for specific functions like locating a device, but can no longer provide the level of security required for enterprise-level coverage and security. The purpose of Highwall Mobile and Personal is to extend protection and detection to the edge, and support our Highwall Enterprise WLAN Detection and Intrusion Prevention system.
