How To: Configure Full tabbed browsing in Firefox.
Contributed by: G3nu1n3, at 5/20/2005 01:17:00 PM.

Full tabbed browsing in Firefox means that firefox will never open another window. Whatever you click will become a tab, or take the place of the current tab.

Here is how to do it:

1) Go to your address bar and type about:config and press enter
2) In the long list of things, find browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs
3) By double clicking on the item, the last column of that entry should change to true
4) Go into the advanced section in the options menu (tools>options>advanced)
5) In that section you will find a tab browsing section, expand it and notice that there is a new option ('force links that open in a new window to open in')
6) There is a tick box, next to 'force links that open new windows to open in' , tick it.
7) Now you can choose to have the link that would normaly spawn a new window to open in a new tab, or to open in the same tab/window it was clicked in
