Micron Technology has launched a family of Mobile DDR devices that features a new architecture with Endur-IC technology specifically designed for mobile systems, which includes an enhanced features set that delivers aggressive power specifications, superior bandwidth performance, and increased reliability over standard DRAM.
The family of Micro Mobile DDR devices is currently available in 128 Mb in x16 and 512 Mb in x16 and x32 configurations, while 256 Mb devices are expected to be available in the second half of 2005.
The company claims that its Mobile DDR products exceed the current Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) standard and performs with shorter latency, higher speeds, full page burst and multiple addressing options. The company said it used its stacked DRAM process technology to achieve the complete industrial temperature range, -40-degrees Celsius to +85-degrees Celsius.
